UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester provides high-quality pediatric orthopedic care through specialists at the Pediatric Orthopedic Services, part of the UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, as well as a group of private practice physicians.
The Pediatric Orthopedic Services provides care for the entire spectrum of pediatric orthopedic problems, from birth through adolescence. A multidisciplinary team approach, that includes other specialists from the UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center as needed, ensures close coordination of services and the highest quality of care. Most of our orthopedic physicians have advanced, fellowship training, and all are on the faculty of the nationally recognized UMass Medical School, providing patients with access to the latest clinical information.
In addition to treating injuries and trauma, care is also provided for many congenital and developmental problems, including:
- Acute and chronic injuries to bones, joints and muscles
- Bone and joint infections
- Cerebral palsy
- Clubfeet
- Developmental disorders such as flat-feet, knock-knees, bow-legs and in-toeing gate
